Wake up Made up!
Do you wake up feeling that you look like a boiled egg? Wake up with Makeup with Cosmetic Tattoo.
A commitment in ongoing education and training, using quality German made equipment and needles, the best pigments and numbing agents (currently favouring LI and Bio Touch Pure pigments) and maintaining strict infection control for client safety. I operate in a clean and hygienic environment, with my CBD studio being passed by the local council for Skin Penetration.
With age women lose pigment in their skin giving them a “washed out” look. Permanent cosmetic colour enhances facial features and replaces lost natural colour. The technique uses a state-of-the-art Medical Grade Computerised Device which allows for better precision and consistency of colour retention. Treatments are quicker with minimal discomfort. A hand tool may be used on the brows to create hair strokes. Please refer to our FAQ’s below for further information.
Eyebrows
Colour is layered to produce a natural brow. Ideal for women with little or no brow hair particularly Alopecia and cancer patients. Hair strokes can be added for a natural looking brow.
3D Hairstroke Brows
This technique is achieved by either using a special technique with my machine with either a single, slope or flat needle or Microblading with a disposable hand tool (more superficial) which creates single hairstrokes. (Please note that Hairstroke brows sometimes require an additional touch-up and its recommended to have a colour boost every 6-18 months).
Powder or Solid brow
For those looking for a fuller brow or pencilled looking brow.
Combination Brow
Hairstroke and powdered – recommended for those clients with little to no brow. I usually like to do a powdered brow on the first appt then hairstrokes on the 2nd.
Lips
Lips can be made to look fuller and have any imperfections corrected. They can be outlined or filled in with colour.
Eyes
Eyeliner is drawn between the lashes for a natural look or slightly above lashes for a more dramatic look.

What to expect at your first appointment?
A full consultation is done prior to treatment with before and after photos taken. You will be asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire and consent form. Facial Symmetry and features are measured and pigment colour is chosen. It is a two step process with the first appointment preparing to saturate the skin’s epidermis (like a primer). The second (touch –up) appointment is performed 4-8 weeks later is to lock in the colour with a deeper penetration into the Dermal layer of the skin that will hold the colour.
What will it look like?
Initially the colour will look very intense and dark for the first 3-10 days. In most cases the superficial colour will exfoliate, peel and shed off. As the skin heals the colour will soften. As the treatment is a two step process don’t be alarmed after your first appointment if the colour fades. The pigment will continue to change over the following weeks and you need to wait until 4 weeks to judge what adjustments need doing.
How long will it last?
Depending on skin type, age, health and after care of tattooed area the pigments can last 6 months to 3-4 years. It is recommended for clients who want to keep their Permanent makeup “looking fresh” to return every 12 months for a touch-up which will boost the colour. This is offered at half price to existing clients.(Clients with skin that is oily or sweats a lot wont hold pigment as well.
How long is the treatment?
First procedure takes approximately 1.5 hours, touch ups take less time (allow 30 minutes to 1 hour).
Will it hurt?
Fast acting Anaesthetics are used (containing Lidocaine), so very little discomfort is experienced.
What are the pigments made of?
Unlike Body Tattoo inks the Pigments used for Cosmetic Tattoo are made up of Organic Iron Oxides which are hypo-allergenic and much softer colours. All TGA and FDA approved.LI and Bio Touch Pure Pigments are currently favoured.
What is the post-care?
You will receive an aftercare sheet and a healing balm at your first appointment .Swelling can last from 2-72 hours depending on the individual. A clean ice pack can be applied at intervals. Apply the healing balm up to six times a day to keep the area moist. Do not expose the treated area to the sun, tanning booths, soaps, cleansing creams, makeup. Keep out of swimming pools, saunas or spas or perform strenuous exercise straight after treatment. Do not pick or peel at the healing crust otherwise you will remove colour. Avoid touching the area with your fingers as it may result in infection.
Home care instructions for face
Please read and follow instructions carefully and refer to Treatment Information.
There is no afterpain following your treatment. The only product that can be used is Protat or balm given to you from your Therapist. Otherwise you can purchase a small tube of Bepanthen Cream available or local Pharmacy or Supermarket. Both of these products are approved safe and effective antiseptic agent and helps protect against infection. Use a smear only approximately 4 times per day for 5-7 days.
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER PRODUCT ON THE TATTOO AREA FOR 5 DAYS OR THE COLOUR CAN CHANGE. No Paw Paw!
Day 1. NO soap or cleansers on the treated area for 5 days. No Makeup for 5 days
Day 1-5. Rinse area gently daily pat dry and apply your Bepanthen or Protat cream/balm
The area where the tattoo has been applied MUST BE KEPT MOIST for successful healing, without scabbing. NO picking the Tattooed area as colour can come away whilst bonding.
Looking after your Micropigmentation/Cosmetic tattoo
Apply blockout over your Cosmetic Tattoo and wear sunglasses. Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and colour change. Cover the Tattoo with Vaseline when swimming in salt or chlorinated water to avoid bleaching effect. Any chemicals of any kind could interfere with the bonding process. Any Glycolic Acid or Peels must be kept completely away from the Tattoo as it seems to lighten the colour with constant continuous use. Check moisturisers and cleansers as they can also fade tattoo colour if they contain Vitamins.
Colours will appear brighter and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure, colours will lighten and soften in three to ten days. Often clients think they have lost their colour, it has lightened too much, wait four weeks and then judge the result. This is the reason your adjustments have to wait to be done after 4 weeks.
Eyebrows
It is unusual to get swelling if you do use a cold compress (only apply for 5 mins every 6 hours) There is no after pain, only a slight tenderness around the Eyebrow Tattoo. Immediately after and for the next twenty-four hours continue to wipe the Eyebrows. They will weep a clear fluid (this is normal). Wipe them firmly to remove the fluid otherwise a crusting or scab will build up which is not what we want. Keep a fine smear of aftercare Balm over the eyebrow area approximately 4 times a day for 5 days.
Lipline
It is usually to get swelling on the lip and more on a full lip tattoo Use a cold pack for 5 mins every few hours over next 24 hours to reduce swelling. There is no after pain, only dryness on the lip. Keep moist with Aftercare Balm, or a Cold Sore Cream (Zovirax Cream) if you suffer with cold sores, alternatively with Bepanthen Cream. Ice can also be used to freeze the virus. The colour after a few days will be lighter, after 4-6 weeks the true colour will show through. The colour will look a little different at various times of the day, due to your own skin responses and different lighting will show a slight colour change. Use must have a touch up colour 4-6 weeks to retain colour. Lipstick can not be worn for 5 days the cream will give a gloss look anyway.
If you feel any adjustment to shape/colour is needed you must allow 4 weeks for the skin to heal.
Eyeliner
The eye area will feel like windburn. Rest eyes after treatment. It is not necessary to apply Aftercare Balm unless you are sensitive or have prolonged swelling. Do not use mascara or eye make-up for 5 days.
